Marcia will soon be replacing Henry Esparza and assuming the role of Operations Manger. Marcia is an accomplished human resources professional with twenty-six years of experience where she specialized in creating and organizing comprehensive programs in for-profit and not-for-profit industries. As her career progressed, Marcia added many more hats handling bookkeeping, payroll, office management, I.T., operations, and more. Marcia is certified as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) by the Society for Human Resource Management.
Marcia’s passion for volunteering for veteran’s organizations came through her husband, Tom’s, service in the Marines and the Army. He served two tours in Vietnam. Marcia has been recognized by the Dale City, Virginia Civic Association as their Citizen of the Year for her work in the community with children and veterans and has served as the American Legion Auxiliary, Department President for Virginia from 2006 to 2007. She continues to serve on the national level doing committee work. Marcia believes in living the motto “Service Not Self”.
Marcia was born in the Canal Zone, Panama, where she was a third generation Zonian. She is proud that her grandfathers were instrumental in the building of the Panama Canal, where one operated a steam shovel. Marcia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Pennsylvania State University. Marcia and her husband, Tom, live in the home of their cat, Pendragon.
