USHERS WORK DESCRIPTION:

 

• Their duties include making sure that everyone who arrives for worship is welcomed, receives a bulletin, is provided a giving envelope, if desired, and that they are seated properly.

 

• They are also responsible for making sure that everyone respects the sanctity of the worship service by maintaining the silence appropriate to God's house of worship.

 

• They are charged with taking the collections and assisting with the flow of communicants.  

 

• They also assist with anyone who experiences difficulties during services, assistingparents with crying children, picking up the sanctuary after services, etc.
